The Fugitive Snare Matt Michelle Volume 3 Henry Vogel 9781938834004 Books
The cover says it all. Matt and Michelle fight the bad guys with stunners, blasters, and psychic waves. Oh, and protecting poor innocent children along the way. Psychics are kept as slaves, but some handlers feel as if they're family. There is this need to escape, and ark landing establishes itself as a safe haven. In the mean time, Matt smashes people with fear waves or lovey dovey happy waves. He likes to have sex and let everyone know how happy it makes him feel. Michelle likes her blaster, but she also likes to accommodate Matt along the way. They accumulate a bunch of fondlings which they adopt or become big sister or brother. We hear about how bad it is to have slaves. I just don't understand how a grammar checker did not catch "is was" whatever that means. "My friends and I" used in the objective case was a real boo boo, especially since it was an alleged correction of something correctly said by an urchin. With that kind of error, I can't recommend this story as proper for a YA.Product details

The Fugitive Snare Matt Michelle Volume 3 Henry Vogel 9781938834004 Books Reviews
I enjoyed the psychic twist and lean of this book. This story follows Matt and Michelle once again as they flee for their freedom. It mainly revolves around the truth about Psi Corps which I find intriguing. Its action packed and lets you learn more about the Psychics in this universe. Overall, its full of adventure, action, and is feel good story.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review. I have read both of the previous Matt & Michelle books, and I've got to say that this one manages to keep up the same tempo established by the previous books. Although the opening is slightly awkward, especially for someone not familiar with the previous books in the series, once the reader gets past the opening scene, the fast pace of the adventure grabs the readers attention . I read this story in about a day and a half, with under six hours of reading; all that I could spare. Definitely worth reading, although I would advise reading the first two books first for best effect.
... in this third volume in the continuing adventures of Matt and Michelle Connaught! Having retreated to a colonized world outside the borders of the Federation, Matt and Michellle thought they were safe, at last, from the clutches of the Federation's dreaded Psi Corps' minions. Guess again! The Federation may not be able to legally touch them, outside its borders, but that doesn't stop the Psi Corps (and one of its top officials, who's got his own "personal" score to settle, with the Connaughts!) from posting a bounty on their capture - one sufficient to attract the most ruthless bounty hunters in the Federation to come after them.
Knowing that they're no longer safe - at least so long as the Psi Corps exists and has its Federation mandate to either capture and imprison, or outright kill, all known psychics - Matt and Michelle realize that their only hope to have a future (and the children that a precognitive friend has told them are waiting in the wings to be born!) is to take the fight straight to Earth, and tear the Psi Corps apart on its home ground.
As with the previous volumes in this series, the main characters are engaging and well-developed, and the villain is as maniacal as any I've ever seen within the pages of a book. The action is break-neck, and comes at you rapid-fire, as Matt and Michelle take the fight to their enemy, with not only their own fate, but that of all psychics, hanging in the balance!
In the interest of full disclosure, I'm one of those few readers lucky enough to be included as part of Vogel's "Beta Readers" squad, and I got my copy of this book free - well, I did spend hours proofreading it and suggesting corrections - but I would have purchased it regardless. Like the previous two books in this series - "The Fugitive Heir" and "The Fugitive Pair" - the book is an E-ticket ride that starts when you hit page one, and doesn't let go until the final page!

Jeez! You'd think Matt and Michelle would catch a break!
Settled down with family nearby and celebrating their anniversary, M&M can barely enjoy the more - ah, private! - celebration before assailants crash through their bedroom window to capture them.
Fortunately, they never made it as far as the bedroom. Thankfully, one of the gifts received were matched pistols from the bride's father. A guy has to always take care of his daughter, after all.
So, sans culottes - but not sans firearms - they manage to fight off the majority of the attackers. Help arrives to clean up the mess, but everyone soon realizes that Matt and Michelle aren't going to have a peaceful life together unless they do something with the Psi Corps. But since Psi Corps is the most powerful department of the Federation, they might need a little help.
And help they receive, from surprising sources.
Which is good, since all Matt and Michelle really want is the chance to enjoy life together, and anticipate the arrival of their future children. Is that two – or three?
I heartily recommend this series, The Fugitive Heir, The Fugitive Pair, and now The Fugitive Snare. And definitely read the Captain stories for more background.
great read. i really like this series and anxiously await more
Mentally manipulating participants in events to help bring freedom to psychics helps Matt and Michelle reach Rockstar status. Nice touch creating a global event to establish a measure of the potential risk.
Henry has figured out a way to write quick paced, but well written tales of adventure. he sneaks in just enough romance to help humanize the characters without making that the main focus, and he has villains that work.
There's not much more to say. Yes, the main character has a lot of advantages, and the pairing of Matt and Michelle is extremely good at overcoming just about any obstacle, but for some reason I never get the icky feeling that I'm reading a Mary Sue'd tale. Instead, its a fun romp through a straightforward and fun adventure tale.
I like tales like this.
